Instructions for Setting up your Dial-up
Internet
(Use
424-7973 or 424-7873 for Dial-up)Windows XP
1. Click on Start
2. My Computer
3. Control Panel
4. Network & Internet Connections
5. Connections
6. Set-up
7. Connection Wizard (next)
8. Connect to Internet (next)
9. Set-up Manually (next)
10. Connect using a Dial-up Modem (next)
11. Type "ctcak" (next)
12. 7873 or 7973 (next)
13. Username & Password (turn off firewall)
(next)
14. Finish
Outlook
Express
1. Click on “Outlook Express” icon
2. Click on “Tools” located on upper
toolbar.
3. Click on “Accounts”
4. Click on “add” on right side of box, highlight “mail” and click again.
5. Display name. For example: John Doe (your
name). Next.
6. Email Address: jdoe@ctcak.net (use whole
address in small letters). Next.
7. Click POP3 and choose:
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.ctcak.net
Outgoing mail server: mail.ctcak.net. Next.
8. Log on using:
POP account name: (your login)
Password: (your password). Next.
9. Enter a name: CTCAK or whatever you
would like. Next.
10. Connect using: “my phone line”. Next.
11. Use existing dial-up connection. Next.
If there is no dial-up connection listed,
then “Create New”.
Remove area code. Telephone number is 424-7873.
Remove any check marks in “dial
using the area code and country code. Next
Name: Login & Password. Next
Do not change advanced settings. Next.
Dial up connection name. Whatever you want
to name it.
12. Finish
Netscape
1. Load Netscape
2. Click on Mailbox to load mail information
3. Click on “Edit” found on upper toolbar.
4. Click on “Preferences”
5. Under Category, click on “mail servers”
6. Highlight and delete any unused mail
servers.
7. Click on “add”.
8. Server name: mail.ctcak.net.
Server Type: POP3
User name: “your login”
9. Under “outgoing mail servers” type:
mail.ctcak.net
“outgoing mail server user name:” your
login"
